That's the same way the MFC and Minnesotans for Marriage present themselves. But signs like these were prominent at the 2004 Bachmann amendment rally."

They'll bring all the local media out... so that I'll cave and... switch my vote on SCHIP, which is not going to happen," she said. "I am so proud to be from the state of Minnesota....we have more people that are working longer hours, we have people that are working two jobs."

I don't expect 'this' Representative to do anything meaningful 'for' the people of the 6th CD again, for the next two years. Two more years of enduring a twisted class, color and congressional set of ideals. Oh Goody! Two more years of paying taxes for a public official who does nothing to add to the quality of life in the 6th CD. Oh Goody! Unless Michele's colleagues in the House www.house.gov/ can get her to actually 'work' as our representative, there goes more of our hard earned tax dollars down the drain. So, to all of the U.S. House Representatives that are really about something and work hard for your constituents and actually meet with your constituents in person at real town hall meetings, please teach Michele Bachmann the most important lesson you can think of. Please teach her what it really means to be an 'All' American United States Congresswoman like Rep. Shiela Jackson Lee and Rep. Jackie Speier to name two out of many great all American Congresswomen. Please show her how to be a better Representative for the sake of her 'All' American constituents living in the 6th CD of Minnesota.

"For example, in a fractious panel interview with Larry King, Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachman, acting as a surrogate for the McCain campaign, argued that anti-"redlining" legislation -- laws barring realtors and mortgage lenders from refusing to make loans in racial-minority neighborhoods -- caused the crisis:"

"Studies have shown, however, that the loans the McCain ad, Congresswoman Bachmann, and the other conservative politicians and pundits are talking about are not implicated in the current foreclosure crisis. In fact, 80% of subprime loans were made by institutions that weren't covered by the Community Reinvestment Act, and CRA-covered loans have a relatively low foreclosure rate."

What do you hope Bush's plan will include?

Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-6th District

There is no question that we need to place more of an emphasis on intelligence gathering. We need to focus our resources on making sure our commanders and troops have the best information about the enemy and reach strategy decisions based on that information. We cannot achieve success without intelligence.

House Races to Target, Part IV (IN, IL, WI, MN) (long analysis
On Wednesday, I posted the third in what will be a series of profiles of potentially vulnerable GOP seats. That diary included West Virginia, Ohio, and Michigan.
It can be found here The second covered New York and Pennsylvania and can be found here The first included New England and New Jersey and can be found here

As noted yesterday, based on the national climate (if it holds), we should be in position to make some big gains in 2006; the Presidential approval numbers, Congressional approval numbers, and Generic ballot numbers compare with those in late 1993, before the GOP sweep of 1994.

Today, I focus on 4 more midwestern states. Of these, Illinois and Wisconsin both are states with bipartisan incumbent-protection maps. Indiana has a Dem-drawn map intended to shore up the then-four Dem members of the delegation. So far, it has failed; we're down to two seats.

Minnesota has a court-drawn map that is very GOP-friendly.

Minnesota 01 (Gil Gutknecht)

The 1st Congressional District of Minnesota includes the state's two southern tiers of counties, running along Interstate 90 just north of the Iowa border. It stretches 280 miles from the South Dakota border at Sioux Falls to the Wisconsin border at LaCrosse. Rochester has long been a Republican stronghold, though not by much in 2004; like many communities with large numbers of professionals, it has been trending toward Democrats. Austin with its working class tradition has long been solidly Democratic-Farmer-Labor. To the west, Mankato voted narrowly for John Kerry and the population-losing farm counties between Mankato and the South Dakota border voted solidly Republican. The overall partisan score is 48.8% Dem. The incumbent is yet another 1994 GOPer. Gil Gutknecht won the district as an open seat when conservative Dem Tim Penny retired. He was targeted throughout the 1990s, but of late has faced only minor opposition, taking 64% and 62% against underfunded opponents in '02 and '04. In a strong Dem year, Gutknecht can be vulnerable.

Minnesota 02 (John Kline)

The 2d District is a suburban/rural district south of the Twin Cities. It includes such places as Eagan, Lakeville, Apple Valley, Mendota Heights and Burnsville in Dakota County. More upscale are the suburbs of Scott and Carver Counties. Farther south on Interstate 35, the district also includes farm country as well as towns such as Northfield, the home of Carleton College. Historically, Dakota County, just south of St. Paul, which casts nearly half the votes in the district, was marginally Democratic, while the other counties were fairly heavily Republican. But in 1998 this was Jesse Ventura Country: in that three-way race he carried each of the counties in the district, with a sharply increased turnout. As the suburbs have continued growing, Ventura country has become more Republican. George W. Bush narrowly carried Dakota County in 2000 and 2004, and produced big margins for Republican Senator Norm Coleman and Governor Tim Pawlenty in 2002. The only remaining DFL stronghold here is Rice County, home of Northfield. The district is now 46.5% Dem. The incumbent, John Kline, won here in 2002 on his third try against Dem Bill Luther. Kline's win was largely attributable to the GOP-friendly remap, which split Luther's district in half. Kline won in 2002 with 56% of the two party vote and won in 2004 against a well-funded, active challenger with 58%. This year, the Dem is FBI whistleblower Coleen Rowley. In a year in which the incompetence and corruption of the GOP will be front and center, she may be the perfect candidate.

Minnesota 06 (open seat)

The 6th Congressional District of Minnesota is a suburban and exurban district north of St. Paul and Minneapolis. It dips as far south and east as Stillwater, with new riverfront housing developments along the St. Croix. It spreads north over Washington and Anoka Counties, just north of the Twin Cities, with a mix of upscale and working class suburbs. To the northwest, along the Mississippi River, are Wright, Sherburne and Benton Counties, which have grown rapidly, from 140,000 in 1990 to 224,000 in 2003, up 59%. This district is 44.8% Dem. The incumbent is Mark Kennedy, who won one of two big upsets against entrenched Dems in 2000, defeating David Minge (Rob Simmons' win over Sam Gejdenson in Connecticut 02 was the other). Kennedy is leaving to run for the open Senate seat. Dems want 2004 candidate Patty Wetterling (who held Kennedy to a 54-46 win) to abandon her own Senate bid to run for this seat. If she does, she will likely be slightly favored. Even if not, this will be a competitive open seat race.

Republican Convention Report
Michele Bachmann Says

February 23, 2005 Minnesota Public Radio by G.R. Anderson Jr.
Two years later, because of redistricting, Bachmann was facing a 10-year incumbent DFLer for the seat in District 52. By ratcheting up her antiabortion rhetoric, vowing to bring more local control to classrooms, and signing a no-new-taxes pledge, Bachmann defeated Jane Krentz.

October 24, 2002 By Tom Scheck Minnesota Public Radio
GOP looks to take control in Minnesota Senate.

Redistricting has created nine open seats in the Minnesota Senate, and has pitted two incumbents against each other.

Senate District 52 contest between Republican Sen. Michelle Bachman and DFL Sen. Jane Krentz.

Jane Krentz had been a State Senator since 1993. She was an elementary teacher who had a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Elementary Education, with a Master of Education in Special Education from the University of Minnesota.

In 2002, district lines for the Minnesota State Senate were redrawn following the 2000 census.

Minnesota's three main parties Republican, Democratic, and Independence (lead at the time by then Governor Jesse Ventura) failed to reach a compromise concerning redistricting, so a judicial panel determined the size, shape, and locations of voting districts within the state.

The gigantic 6th Congressional District of Minnesota didn't fair too well, again.

I'm so happy for the The 5th Congressional District - Congratulations!

The 5th Congressional District had the good fortune to Re-Elect one of the best voices for the people, an authentic Public Servant. They held on to "U.S. Representatives Keith Ellison!" Congressman Ellison is the first African American sent to the United States House of Representative from Minnesota and the first practicing Muslim to be elected to the United States House of Representative.

Will U.S. Representative Michele Bachmann have real 'in person' Town Hall Meetings now?!?

Open Congress Committee Membership

Hark, what is that I hear, "Michele will be strongly obligated to hold In Person Town Hall meetings in 2009 and 2010?" Town Hall meetings once every month? Rotating all around our very, very large 6th Congressional District.

Town Hall Meetings for A-L-L constituents.

E-V-E-R-Y-O-N-E can attend you say?!?

President Elect Obama http://my.barackobama.com/page/content/mnhome is asking everyone to roll up their sleeves and get involved.

What better time for United States Congresswoman Michele Bachmann and all of her constituents to get involved for the change's to come, to help repair the damage that was done the last eight years. Changes 'we' can make and believe in.

Hosting town hall meetings one time per month through out the district, 'Everyone' will have a chance to get involved.

We need to hear in person how Rep. Bachmann www.michelebachmann.com/ plans to proceed and she needs to receive our input as to how we would like her to carry our ideas and concerns to Congress.

Democracy In Action! Pretty Cool!

I would like to cordially invite the Michele that spoke 'nicely' and 'proudly' about President Elect Obama, to come to all of the town hall meetings that I attend.

I would rather the other Michele www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_pN2IPAw6E - 118k stay home on those Town Hall occasions, no offense meant.

If the 'other' Michele shows up I won't feel comfortable at all, mainly because I'm still not sure which culture of people my elected 'public' official deems as unequal. What if it is me? What if I am one of 'those' people?

Bachmann still hated by everyone except her 6th District voters Posted by Emily Kaiser at City Pages November 10, 2008

I would be so embarrassed to show up where I'm not wanted. Maybe even a little afraid. I don't think Michele would want harm to come to me, but what if there were people in the audience that didn't want me there and were mean to me? What if the mean people were so mean that they called me names to my face or chased me with pitch forks?!? That would be a frightful experience!

If its a choice of being forced to pay empty fee's for corporate greed, higher property tax and sky high rent and paying more for goods and services in my diverse neighborhood, I suppose I would be O.K. with that, if you can promise no one will chase me, my family or my diverse neighbors with pitch fork's or throw molotov cocktail's through our living room window's.

Oh I forgot, the gay couple down the street moved last year after being harassed by the 'new' neighbors and the Muslim family has a for sale sign out on their lawn, too. There was also the Arab family that ran a small store that someone burnt to the ground one night.

Oh yeah, and then there was that nice middle eastern husband and wife that the police swat team descended upon a few months back, they lived in the neighborhood for over ten years. I'll miss them all a lot! I think there are only two families left (including mine) on my one time growing diverse street, in the 6th CD now.

So, Michele could you write a bulletin and post it on your website or mass mail one of those glossy card board mailers? You could tell me, in your opinion, which cultures are not equal, which values are not equal and who is anti-american.

I would read the list and I would see if I could go to any of the town hall meetings in my district in the next two years. That seems fair, doesn't it?

Michele please let me know if I fit into the unequal, devalued or the anti-american category? Or, maybe I fit into 'all' categories? I'm sure I do fit into at least one of them. I'm almost sure that I fit all three.

I know, what if you had a town hall meeting for just the unequal, devalued and anti-American people, of your choosing? You could segregate us to the back of the room or better yet you could put us up in the balcony if there is one. You might feel much more at ease with us at least
10 feet away.

And you would never have to tell 'your' neighbors that we met and shook hands at a town hall meeting. That is, if you do shake hands with constituents. Do you? I'll bring the hand sanitizer for your convenience just in case.

If you will do an in person town hall meeting soon, I promise never to act like I know you out in public and I promise never to wave to you when passing you on the street. I promise to keep my eyes down when you talk to me, if you talk to me, too. If all of us unequal devalued anti-Americans sign a nondisclosure contract, then will you go to an In Person town hall meeting with all of us?

Excuse me, pardon me, I guess I got a little ahead of my self. I'm writing as though I'm one of "those" people already!

Anyway, I do look forward to attending one of your town hall meetings in the 6th Congressional District. Really can't wait! It should be a hoot! If I'm allowed.

The opportunity to have you teach us about your
brand of politicking will be most rewarding and surely it will be informative. Thank you in advance for any small show of tolerance towards me or others like me.

I'll be waiting on pins and needles for your personal invitation to the first In Person Michele Bachmann Town Hall meeting!
Sincerely,

Who's Afraid of Michele Bachmann...NOT DMB, Norwegianity or the Huffington Post!

But the U.S. House and MN House and MN Senate may be, not a peep out of them over Bachmanns media melody of "Fear Mongering." Secrets? Fabrication? Distortion? Or plain out right lie? Which ever it may be I hope Madam Speaker Pelosi takes Bachmann by the hand and holds her accountable for this one.
As for our MN elected officials.....Silence to the public at large And ignoring questionable public official behavior and irresponsible displays of show boating, Are how the November 7th elections became a landslide. Don't forget newly elected MN House....we want your "Public" input of truth, logic and common sense. Especially when something as serious as what Michele Bachmann oddly put out there, is then oddly recanted in an odd way. This one wreaks of mangled misinformation coming out of U.S. Rep. Michele is the congress person for my neighboring district. I sincerely wonder how she got elected. From day one she was saying things like, "If we got rid of the minimum wage, there would be no unemployment, because people could work for 3 dollars and hour" (I think that's about how she said it)

And I here that her husband is a shrink that tries to convert gay people to straight.

---------------------------------
Hold on there...there are plenty of us in the MN 6th that fought and are still fighting against this idiot. 50% of this district did not vote for her. If you add up the votes of Wetterling and Binkowski it was a tie.

---------------------------------

She makes stuff up all the time and our local media usually just ignores it. This time enough activists in her district got this out into the MSM. We are working hard to discredit her and make sure she is not re-elected.

---------------------------------

No we are not below average. Her extremism and voting record as a state senator were not publicized in the local media during the campaign and Wetterling's campaign did a very poor job in exposing her as well. Wetterling should have won, and could have won with the right publicity and support from the DCCC.

---------------------------------

Your post is comical Lizz, thanks for the Saturday laughs :-)

---------------------------------

During one of the debates between Bachmann and the other two candidates there was a question about public school education. All candidates were for it.

But, the independence party candidate says Michelle, your children went to private schools. Michelle acknowledged it, but she sent her 20 (that's not a typo) foster kids to public schools. The independence party candidate jumped on that and says I guess your foster kids aren't as deserving as your own children. OUCH!!!

----------------------------------

So, it should really be no surprise when one of these statements gets said to the MSM, in her mind it is absolutely valid. She has said it to those who are "on her side" repeatedly, and they all just nodded "north and south" and applauded. No one questioned her on it, no one pointed out WHERE she left reality and headed into Lah-Lah land, because no one knew.

----------------------------------

The scariest part of this isn't Michelle Bachmann, it's the people that VOTED for her.

"I wasn't surprised as to when Michele would become publicly raptured, I was surprised that it was at the State Of The Union Address."

Good and Bad Publicity is all about the timing......are these really accidents or well timed distractions for a public starving for governmental logic, rational and justice? I'll have to research the backdrop for each of these photo ops to see if there is anything going on behind the scene that mainstream media missed reporting to the public. Which still happens too frequently in the U.S.

When the president likes someone -- a woman or man, he seems to show his affection and kiss first. So, maybe he really isn't that fond of Bachmann after all. This was not her first meeting with this president, they've met here in Minnesota, long enough to have a snack while chatting. Hmmmm.....so why the girl gone crazy frenzy?

Simple.....the Neo-Cult Rapture is just too strong for them to control on a continual daily bases. When it oozes out, it oozes out all over the innocent bystander.

I had my first close encounter with a few Neo-Cults I was officed with for one year. Link to the expanded version...

Call and Write Michele Bachmann to Vote 'For' the Voters....

St. Cloud Times gives out Bachmann's contact information "It's like they're *daring* us to write to her." From DMB Wednesday, September 05, 2007 DMB says try it if you feel lucky.....

      Rep. Michele Bachmann

6th District Rep. Michele Bachmann's Washington office can be reached by at phone at 202-225-2331. Fax is 202-225-6475. E-mail is sent through the Web at http://bachmann.house.gov/Email_zip.htm. The postal address is 412 Cannon HOB. Washington, D.C. 20515.

Rep. Holt's Voter Confidence bill, HR 811

Bachmann voting for a paper trail record and mandatory audits of electronic voting machines to ensure their accuracy and guarantee secure, verifiable elections?

"Sorry Common Cause, but Bachmanns track record is a lost cause where fairness and equality are concerned........."

Email Message from Common Cause September 5, 2007

      Dear _____________,

Congress could vote on the Holt Voter Confidence bill as soon as tomorrow. (today)

Call your Representative to support the Voter Confidence bill.

In the next 24 hours, we will have our best - and, most likely, our last - opportunity to ensure that electronic voting machine ballots are backed by paper records in the critical 2008 elections.

The House could vote as soon as tomorrow on Rep. Holt's Voter Confidence bill, HR 811. As you know, this legislation would require paper records and mandatory audits of electronic voting machines to ensure their accuracy and guarantee secure, verifiable elections.

Call Rep. Michele Bachmann at (202) 225-2331 today to urge support for the Holt bill, and opposition to any and all attempts to sabotage it. After you call, be sure to report back to us.

We fully expect opponents of reform to try to derail this critical bill in the closing hours of debate. By taking action now, you can help make sure that we get it straight by 2008.

In 2006, voting machine errors fouled up elections across the country. The most notable was in Florida's 13th district where 18,000 votes were not recorded or lost due to faulty machinery. We simply can not have another election where votes disappear.

But, we're in that dangerous pre-vote period when anti-reform forces use behind-the-scenes tactics and trickery to undermine reform. We can't let them sabotage this bill and undermine the most basic of democratic principles - that everyone has a right to vote and that every vote counts.

Call Rep. Bachmann today at (202) 225-2331 and send the message that the House must get it straight by 2008. And don't forget to tell us about your call.

Common Cause is mobilizing our entire membership at this critical hour. House passage of a vitally important reform is within our reach. Let's do everything we can to win.

      Thanks for all you do.

      Sincerely,

      Bob Edgar

Dump Michele Bachmann On The Right Karmic Path

Saturday, February 03, 2007 Old Nooz: Michele Bachmann Makes the New York Times

If only Michele Bachmann could get back on her true karmic path. When we wonder off our paths, does this possibly shed light on why we behave the way we do and say the things we say?
There was a time when it looked like Michele was on the right path when she worked for the Carter campaign. President Carter's karmic path is The Way of Confidence. President Carter has achieved much in his life that is meaningful to so many. A true humanitarian.

Michele seemed to begin her more rigid journey when President Carter wisely refused to influence and impose his personal religious beliefs upon the country.

She then walked a path to work on the Republican campaign to elect Ronald Reagan - The Way of Grace.

Wikepedia - Christian documentary Francis Schaeffer's 1976 How Should We Then Live?.

If Michele Bachmann had stayed true to herself and learned from her younger experiences, she would have been a different person today. Her work could have been one of selflessness and her arms might have been open to all. Instead, she has selfishly fed peoples ignorance through fear, anger and hate.

From The Secret Language of Destiny By Gary Goldschneider and Joost Elffers 1999

Patty Wetterling was born November 2, 1949 The Way of Individuation

Michele Bachmann was born on April 6, 1956 and her Karmic Path is The Way of Responsibility.

The core lesson for this person is knowing that fighting limitations can itself be a form of limitations. Her goal is to develop self-control and discipline through the acceptance of responsibility.

      Pitfalls
      Volatile, Tyrannical, Impulsive

      Gifts
Honorable, Expansive, fair and the fear of domination

Contact with nature is essential for this karmic path. Nature calms their often volatile emotions. The silence and simplicity of nature is where greater truths can be found, that will be their polestars. The insights gained when exposed to the natural world help them to develop the perspective to realize that much of what they struggle with is not really all that important.

      The Way of Responsibility

      Encounter - Expanded Version

Minimum Wage Increase....116 Republicans voted no. One of those leading the way was North Carolina’s own Virginia Foxx.

Dump Michele Bachmann Out of the 6th District

      Updated and Expanded.....
I had my first close encounter with a few Neo-Cults when I was officed with them in 2005 and 2006 for a total of one year. This small group was connected to the same barrel of beliefs as Bachmann. The severe loyalty to their version of religious beliefs is first, above all else, and has the markings of a mini puritan witch hunt revival.

When this chosen one enters the public arena as a public official or a public front line staff person, the public as a whole, will suffer neglect of their real needs.

At the time, I didn't know what a Michele Bachmann was, I didn't know what a Neo-Cult was and I wasn't clear on what the word 'Raptured' had to do with the first two. I couldn't put my finger on the odd unexplained vibe I was getting in that office, nor could I figure out why subtle biased comments were made on the sly. Even their professed "christian" mantra revealed extreme judgment and power thrust upon those -- diverse unfortunate customers -- that sought out services from them.

There was a consistent disconnect between how they would say something out loud, opposite of what was shown through actions as the true nature of the Neo-Cult. Was it a suppressed prejudice? Or was it an altered kind of bigotry and bits of backhanded discrimination? What about plain old power and control of a vulnerable client? Some comments were so extremely one sided that I would have to excuse myself from where ever the Neo-Cult would be preaching their agenda, their belief.

I have been lucky enough in my career to have scheduled my meetings at different types of places, including Temples and Churches. No Mosque meetings as of yet but I look forward to when the occasion arises. One of my esteemed colleagues who is now retired, was an ex-minister. Because his teachings were of the traditional faith, he was in the beginning a bit rigid and critical of a few important mainstream realities that we face as front line staff.

As proactive advocates for 'all' who came to us for help, he learned to see past the strict teachings of his religion to a more worldly view of each individuals distinct need. One of those strict views got him into hot water more than once. Especially his view on women and women issues.

We -- women -- would diplomatically knock him off his pedestal, in a way that he never felt silenced. We of course were greatly offended by sexist attitudes as well as any of the other 'Isms' and sometimes you could see the red creeping up the face of someone in a staff meeting.

Our role is about finding solutions for others and we are very successful at dialogue to find common ground among differences, to learn and teach sensitivity and to respect ones individual choice and lifestyle. We are very successful in creating paths of opportunity from endless open communication, because we are allowed the freedom to pursue answers that equate to equality.

I was always encouraged to visit many types of churches and learn about other religions as child by my mother. Had a southern Baptist baby-sitter at one time and took in the feeling of history while standing awe struck inside Notre Dam de Paris. Back in the 1980s I was a summer bible school teacher for a local church, without having to ever convert.

The symbolic meaning in each religion are intriguing and worth learning about. The philosophy behind each traditional teaching express the same message in many languages and cultures. It dumbfounds me to this day when people take any religious text and turn it around to the complete opposite, by exaggerating vague scripture, adding new meaning and then altogether missing the basic message.

My impression of what religion is and what religion means is so eclectic, that I preference myself as more of a spiritual believer, no longer a religious follower.
I could never call myself a christian, it would be too confining, too conforming, too simple, especially after having the experiences I have had.

As time went on while working out of this unexplainable office environment, I found out what "It" was. The thing I could not put my finger on, though 'It' had one common thread running through It. A huge red flag went up one day when I was asked if I had 'received the miracle' after one of the people in the small group remarked softly how much they wanted to make their client kneel and pray to god, in their publicly funded cubicle. Then innocently asked in the same breath, "But I couldn't do that here, could I?" My short reply is what prompted the miracle question.

My answer to that persons question compelled me to lean forward and with a genuine sincerity I told the person I had been witness to many miracles in life. Which is what I do truly believe. While purposefully not sharing my deep personal beliefs with this person, it would have been a waste of my breath, I don't believe I personally can be given a miracle. Then again the Neo-Cults would say I wasn't worthy of their miracle either.

I really had to put up my guard up after that episode. This is a subject that is only appropriate with close friends and family, coworkers who are long time friends still need proper recognition as a coworker in an office setting. When out of the office setting at lunch for instance, that coworker is still connected to a major part of ones daily work week. So a very good rule of thumb is to tread lightly with personal beliefs, always.

Besides I was not hired to do my job because of my beliefs, it just so happened that my overall beliefs fit the agency mission statement that I was hired by.

With perfect timing Janine Garofalo and Sam Cedar were on am 950 Air America radio. I reached to change the station because they were too left for me. I caught Janine using the word "Raptured," and I stayed tuned to learn what this word "Raptured" meant to those of us who were on the outside of the rapture bubble.

I hadn't found the word for what essentially was a small group of people bent on forcing their will on others by using distorted interpretations of religion as a professional tool, without conscience, without principle, without common sense and without practical professional decorum. Thanks to Janine Garofalo I now had the answer I had been looking for. The best fitting word for not only this small group of misdirected public professionals, it also explained some of the borderline and out right bizaar behavior of public officials across this nation.

Even the Mayor of New Orleans had a few episodes that went public, but I could forgive him for his altered behavior. He had had a severe trauma, faced death, saw deaths of many and he lived to talk about the horrific tragedy. Mayor Nagin, I don't believe was ever a Neo-Cult.

Neo-Cults do come together from a variety of backgrounds. Could that be the reason for the Neo-Cult movement? Did they face some traumatic life altering experience? Were they broken and in need of repair? Or were they fearful of the world in general. When they arrived on the steps of any Neo-Cult haven, was it more comforting to be told what to do, what to think and what to expect? Was that the kind of repair they were seeking?

Neo-Cult public officials aren't really Republicans in the conservative sense. The Neo-Cons and Neo-Cults drowned out the true Republican conservative in the 109th Congress while all the Democratic public officials were restricted to the sidelines.

Look at the 109th Congress for example. The out of control spending, the pork, the earmarks, the self serving raises, working a few days a week, the lobbying -- and more lobbying. Not an ounce of conservatism the entire time. Neo-Cult seem to have very defined roles for gender, for class and for income brackets. Not so different from other cultish factions.

A Neo-Con is not the same as a Neo-Cult...religiously speaking. Have you ever heard of a Neo-Con equate "I'm Hot for god" (Bachmann) as part of their faithbased cash and contract initiative? It is very acceptable however, for a true Neo-Con to sit in the cover of their corporate office surrounded by attorneys while playing god and then attend church full of piety.

My experience of working in that office surely was a fascinating front row study on what a Neo-Cult (best word fit to date) really is. By the by, the miracle I received was a move to another office. I love the 'open and diverse' discussions about everything under the sun. Yes, even small talk about embracing different spiritual and religious beliefs. The office I am in now feels amazingly complete, every staff person represents every lifestyle and their respectful reflection matches the world that we serve.

I did take something with me from the experience I had with the Neo-Cults among other "Awakening" experiences, A renewed hard-line belief in the.....Separation of church and state. There is no reason and no room for blurry gray areas as long as we are a democratic republic.
