2007 Federal Taxes C-SPAN, Washington Journal Washington, District of Columbia "Arthur Auerbach offered advice for preparing to submit 2007 federal tax data. He responded to telephone calls and electronic mail."
I watched Arthur Auerbach, who returned to C-SPAN to give advice and guidance on filing 2007 taxes. He made me aware that the 'REBATE' is not really a rebate at all.
Its a credit against a persons next years taxes, a loan on next years taxes, a cash advance on next years taxes to be filed for 2008.
Next year, a year out. Unless I have a crystal ball, no one can tell what could happen this year with ones earnings, for next years tax time. No one.
I would not deny those who truly are desperate to have this so called rebate. But to tell the people that this money is for stimulating our economy is absolutely crazy.
Normal seasonal spending for 'normal' vacations and school clothes will take a big hit this year. At my house, we have been adding more soup choices to dinner time, in order to fill up. That was not the usual. More spaghetti, not the usual. More spaghetti without meat is not the usual, not in my house.
No vacation this year because of two years of paying for medical bills and rising property costs and everything else that costs more.
My Internet service will cease when I am forced to choose between gas for my car OR food for my family (including my four legged furry babies).
So, if we, in my family are reflective of the nations citizenry, we tapped out our last layer of financial protection - money from our paychecks not used for bills - early this year.
$300.00 or $600.00 is not going to offer a solution. I am not looking for a hand out, just looking for practical common sensed fundamentals of bookkeeping logic, from our nations leaders. TROOPS HOME NOW!
Poor Little Misfit Congress Christmas Story Sunday, December 16, 2007
Do we trust what is meant by REBATE? Do you know for certain that this won't come back to bite us in the wallet next year? They call it a Rebate, I don't. I think I'll have to pass on this so called Rebate, this so called Stimulus - Stick it to me in the end - package.
I just don't trust anything that comes from this administration and the vice president sort of summed up my feeling about them with his 'So' answer.
So they think we are dumber than a box of rocks. I'm smarter than a rock, I think.
So they think we are peasants to their elitist way of living. I may be a pagan, but I'm certainly no peasant.
So they think we aren't tough enough to withstand the constant barrage of fear mongering and terror alerts. I might've been nervous on September 11, 2001, but I soon learned that the ones I should fear are the born again bred in narcissism White House residents.
So they want to build an empire for themselves in Iraq, using my hard earned tax treasure dollars, on the backs of destroyed Iraqi citizens? Well I'll show them when I don't have a job and paycheck anymore.
So they think a 'What’s mine is Theirs and a What’s Theirs is Theirs' philosophy is as American as Apple Pie? Mock Apple Pie Is Not American! Mock Apple Pie Is Not Patriotic!
They have mocked up my Apple Pie for eight years. Its time to imPEACH all of the Mock Apple Pie's!
My fantasy Headline: A vigilant village of imPEACHment hunters throw all Mock Apple Pie's in the Dutch Oven of International Justice!
