DMB -- Beckfelds Joke About Puppies and Bush

Bush was walking down the street one day when he came across a small boy playing with a litter of puppies. Bush asked the boy what kind of puppies they were and the boy replied "Republican Puppies"
A few weeks later Bush was walking down the same street with the VP in tow and came across the same boy playing with the same puppies. Elbowing the VP, Bush once again asked "What kind of puppies are those?"
"Democratic puppies" the boy said.
"But I thought you told me those were Republican puppies" Bush asked.
"They were" the boy said "but now they have their eyes open"
