Dear U.S. Senator,
Thank you for all you will do to help us restore this country. I cannot begin to know what it will take to do this. Except that I do know that something is terribly wrong. The first of many wrongs, is the illegal occupation of the country of Iraq. The list of wrongs extending from this one very tragic and disturbing act, must be ended.
Please tell your Colleagues, it is time to pull away from Iraq. This administration is not diplomatic in their quest and do not have the skills nor the will to approach the world - the United Nations as their equal. When the United Nations was ignored in order to proceed with the invasion of Iraq, I thought it an unwise decision. It did not feel right.
I will never understand why Congress thought this act acceptable. I do not support or believe in aggressive actions called war, at any time. The world must work together through the United Nations. We sadly have been brought to a place, in our nation, where the world can't trust us, can't depend on us and cannot see us as peacemakers.
The years that it will take, before the world knows us again, seems ions away. I have hope, hope that this new Congress will be uncluttered and principled.
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Minnesota
