The United States Leaders Need To Take A Chill Pill & Grow Up......

Sunday 24, 2006 - Washington Posts Not So Nice Editorial about President Chavez....The Sunday morning news shows lacked balance in their panels opinion, too. I guess they - like our public officials - are now even more protected by their fully cushioned furnished propaganda bubbles. President Chavez has struck a cord with the people, he summed up in one word, the bad deeds of our current president and his followers. The fact that President Chavez was able to implement last years 'heating oil program' quickly and effectively, leads me to believe that he is a very savvy business person and a humanitarian. A good deed is a good deed, in my eyes.

September 5, 2005 Human Rights Watch, Oxfam International and Amnesty International call on a small number of “spoiler” countries to stop holding the UN World Summit hostage over crucial measures on human rights, security, genocide and poverty reduction. Interesting that the U.S. was among those countries causing concern. The U.S. just wanted to change the wording....what is up with the obsessive effort to change the wording in just about everything the U.S. leaders gets its hands on? With all the energy geared towards drafting word change in document after document by rewriting history, I can only imagine that there is another poor forest at risk of being pulped to death.

June 7, 2006 - The Randi Rhodes site posted A Taste of Palast's Armed MadHouse: 1927. Again. A truth Out Book Preview....Excerpted from Armed Madhouse, a new book by Greg Palast where President Hugo Chavez is likened to the essential founder 'Huey Long' of the modern day Democratic Party.

Friday September 22, 2006 - Tavis Smiley Interview With President Hugo Chavez

September 22, 2006 - Another sign that dysfunction is alive and well in the Democratic Party...Or with anyone else who called the president names, psycho-analyzed his childhood to adulthood and basically said that he and his administration is one of our history's worst and that corruption runs ramped.

Any public official or media personality who defends the president after they vocalized their very unfavorable opinions, just because President Hugo Chavez voiced his opinion....is a hypocrit. Many in the world and many U.S. citizens agree with the President Chavez opinion. Can't dismiss the applause meter that set off everywhere he visited.

Can't have it both ways...we either are a country of free speech or we are not. It cannot be 'both' ways. And to have the Democratic Party leaders make a statement at all, in response to President Chavez opinion.

It is a snapshot - a very vivid one - of who we have to look forward to on our 2006 and 2008 ballots. I'm leaning more and more , away from jumping on the Democratic Party bandwagon sweeps. I will be watching and listening for my local DFL , Independence, Green, Libertarian, Reformist and Real-Republican candidates to weigh in.

We have a huge list of stuff that public officials have been complaining about for years now. I have not forgotten their opinion - before Hugo Chavez was brave enough to speak his mind. There is nothing wrong with free speech, is there? Free Speech and the United States go hand in hand!

Sep. 21, 2006 -
CBS News By Ian James Associated Press Writer Chavez Launches Bush Broadside at U.N. Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez calls President Bush 'the devil' during speech at U.N.
"Accusing Bush of neglecting the poor, Chavez started a program last winter for Venezuela's U.S.-based oil company Citgo to sell discounted heating oil to poor American families. It distributed more than 40 million gallons of oil last winter to low-income Americans, and Chavez announced a doubling of that this winter."

Hugo Chavez Showed Courage When He Helped Low Income Americans

In the most bountiful country - The U.S., a leader from another country helped Americans to stay warm last year....No one else stepped up to help the families to stay warm, no other government agency had a plan, no American corporation get together's to lend a finger....to make sure citizens - babies, children and seniors stayed warm in the midst of winter and especially helped those that weren't eligible for the current crumbs of heat assistance....So many others will face the cold this year without heat, because the heat assistance monies are much less to be had, the restrictions are greater and the funding cuts, funding cuts, funding cuts.... continue....People took out loans last year to pay heating bills that bordered on insanity and were absolutely without a doubt -- Gouging -- ....
